Why do we
call ourselves
linden?

Linden is a lime tree with heart-shaped leaves and yellowish flowers. The tree is considered sacred in many cultures across the world and stands for wisdom and immortality.

The Linden Tree signifies that we must follow our heart and never give up on our dreams, no matter how hard it may seem. It also means that we should see beyond the outer appearance, that is the reason the leaves have a shiny and glossy appearance on the inner side which is not the same on the exposed part of the leaves.

About US

About Linden Montessori

We at Linden Montessori believe that children are capable of amazing things. In order to help a child achieve his/her fullest potential, we give a lot of emphasis on active learning where the children work on hands-on materials and absorb knowledge through their senses.

School Building

Our school building is a beautiful space which is bright, spacious and inviting. It has a spectacular outdoor area encouraging free play and social interactions among children. Distinct spaces have been created for their dining, reading (library), enjoying stories (puppet theatre) and for other activities. This set up allows children a lot of physical movement which is necessary for learning and making the mind active. All environments have been designed with child-sized furniture and learning materials suited to the size of a child’s hand.

Classrooms

Our classrooms are spacious, well-lit and airy. They are meticulously designed with various learning materials divided in 5 distinct areas (Click here to know more) which are carefully sequenced. These classrooms are different from most other classrooms as they have a mixed age group of children supporting independence, social interactions and mutual respect for each other. The materials may look simple on the shelves but the skills they impart are truly wonderful.

Facilitators

“And so we discovered that education is not something which the teacher does, but that it is a natural process which develops spontaneously in the human being”
-Dr Maria Montessori
Our facilitators are caring and passionate individuals trained in Montessori Method of education who aim to support and encourage a child’s natural curiosity to learn and help him or her develop a love of learning.
